All proceeds from this week's dance will be donated to Ashkenaz, in gratitude not only for its support for our dance, but also for its terrific work on behalf of the music and dance community at large.
And for you: Zach will DJ and host, bringing not only his usual gifts but also a take-home gift of artwork for every participant.
Bring yourself and give us the gift of you! Or, if you feel inspired, bring a gift for our dance community - we can use more ribbons, fabrics, beautiful items for our community space, poems, light strings, art supplies...
IMPORTANT BUSINESS: On December 24 and/or December 31 we will only hold our dance if we have enough RSVP's from you now. So, IF YOU HAVEN'T DONE SO ALREADY, and would plan to be at the dance on the 24th and/or the 31st please RSVP now by replying to this email, and tell us which days you would plan to participate. Soul Sanctuary Dance is Berkeley's Sunday morning community dance. Our DJs spin an irresistible blend of old soul, R&B, funk, reggae, positive hip hop, and house and dance classics to free your mind, body and soul.
Children and teens are always appreciated on the dance floor. Soul Sanctuary is a great informal workout for everyone, rejuvenating and nourishing for the soul and fun for the whole family. Find your self-expression and community in a free and supportive environment. See you on the dance floor - shoes optional!
Drop-in: $10. Series of 5 classes: $40. First time comers: $5. Children 12 and under dance for free.
